Setup is quick and easy, taking less than 2 minutes. Simply unroll the mat, connect it to Chiputt putting mat or the complimentary chipping mat, and you’re ready to go.

While some mats may arrive with minor curls or bumps due to logistics and storage, these are easy to smooth out. For curled edges or ends, just reverse-roll for 5 seconds and step on them briefly; for minor bumps, place 10–15 lbs (4–7 kg) of weight (like books) on the area for 5–10 minutes.

Once broken in, your Chiputt Extender will stay flat permanently. We’ve tested nearly all major putting mats out there—many have permanent creases or never lay flat. But Chiputt’s construction is designed to flatten out fully and stay that way, making setup a breeze.

Regular Maintenance (Every Once In a While):
To keep your Chiputt Extender rolling true, gently brush the turf with a soft broom or foam wiper. Sweep from the rear toward the hole to realign the fibers and maintain that smooth, tour-like roll. This takes just 30 seconds and keeps performance optimal.

Cleaning (As Needed):
Simply brush away visible debris with a stiff brush or broom. For deeper cleaning, rinse with water (the mats are fully waterproof) and let air dry.

Important: Avoid extreme heat above 200°F. The durable construction requires virtually no maintenance while providing decades of consistent performance.
