How the Extender works

3 ft x 11 ft Chiputt Putting Mat connecting with a 3 ft x 11 ft Extender as an example (can also pair with other length options with the same width)

You get a total of 21.5 ft (10.5 ft on the main mat + 11 ft on the Extender, over 7 yards) of effective true-roll practice distance

Continue to connect the 3 ft x 2.5 ft Dual-Hole Chipping Mat (included with the main Chiputt Mat), the total max distance gets to 24 feet (8 yards)!

Can go even further with more extenders! GOLF Top 100 Teacher Jim Murphy suggested the ideal distance to practice lag putts from is 32 ft, which can be achieved with one 3 ft x 11 ft Chiputt™ Mat and two 3 ft x 11 ft Extenders!

Highlights

Extend Your Practice: Add effective true-roll distances of seamless putting and chipping practice

So far so good - impressed

I would give the mat a 5 but as I have only had it a few days longevity is one of the things I don’t yet know about BUT so far, so good! Putts roll very well and consistently- I am using this with a Capto EZ putting analyser so any issues would show up quickly.

The back stop is great and the “holes” work well and don’t impact roll into the cup at all where they sit with a lip underneath.

As has been mentioned elsewhere online the edges are a bit frayed in places but no impact whatsoever on the performance. I have found the hole cut outs don’t go in perfectly, they are adequate but you don’t want to be putting over them. But these are jiggles as it’s a very good piece of kit. I was trying to buy the market leader but the shipping from the USA to UK and overall price was just crazy, so I did concern myself going for this alternative option but it was worth it. Time will tell if it survives being outdoors for periods in the glorious British weather and with the wonderful pigeons who I like to sh@t everywhere circling overhead…

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review Scott! We're delighted to hear you're enjoying the true and consistent roll, especially with a putting analyser keeping us honest!

We also really appreciate you taking the time to point out the finer details. Regarding the slight edge fraying, that's a normal characteristic of cut-pile golf turf. Unlike traditional putting mats with stitched or bound edges, our mats are intentionally left unstitched so they can connect seamlessly with one another for a continuous, true roll. A tiny amount of natural edge fraying can occur over time, but we've worked hard to keep it to an absolute minimum, and it won't affect the performance or durability of the mat.

As for the British weather and those pigeons… the turf is built to handle the outdoors, and if one of those feathered friends happens to leave you an unwanted 'gift', a quick wash will have it looking good again! 😄

Thanks again for choosing Chiputt over the other options you were considering. We hope it continues to earn that fifth star as the months and years go by. Happy practicing! ⛳

GAME CHANGER

Love this mat! Putting has become the strongest part of my game thanks to Chiputt.

I leave it outside year-round, so getting in 100+ practice putts every day is effortless.

The new cups are a great upgrade —they’re slick and make a satisfying ping every time a putt drops. The speed control ramp has also become a staple in my practice routine.

One of the best investments I’ve made for my game!

Thank you so much Jordan! Hearing that Chiputt has helped make putting the strongest part of your game is exactly why we started this company. Your outdoor setup looks absolutely fantastic too—having the Chiputt mat inbetween your hitting net and hitting mat is a golfer’s dream! We’re also glad you’re enjoying the new cups and the PaceMaster ramp. Thanks again for your support and for sharing your setup with us. Wishing you many more made putts and lower scores! ⛳

Fantastic Putting Mat

Fantastic putting mat with a very true and consistent roll. I’m extremely happy with the overall quality, especially the cups, features, and backboard. It feels well made and makes practicing at home both fun and realistic.

I also have a newborn son, and I can’t wait until he’s old enough to start enjoying it with me. Highly recommend the Chiputt putting mat!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review Vincent!

It means a lot to hear you're enjoying the Chiputt Mat, and overall quality have lived up to your expectations. We spent years refining those details to make home practice feel as close to a real green as possible.

And congratulations on your newborn! That part of your review really put a smile on my face. Chiputt was actually inspired by my own young son, with the hope that one day we'd be practicing together (although he's all in cars these days ). I hope your little one will be rolling putts alongside you before you know it and making some great memories together!

Thank you again for your support, and welcome to the Chiputt family! ⛳️

Superb putting experience

Rolled great straight out of the box and perfect for my outing practice with my two sons who love golf . We play games and competitions and it's incredibly fun family golf . Use the extender to extend length and now with new features can putt both way s. Excellent communication and delivery also

Thank you so much for the fantastic review Gavin! We're thrilled to hear the mat rolled true straight out of the box and that it's become part of your family golf time. Hearing that you and your boys are playing games and friendly competitions on it is exactly what we hoped Chiputt would bring—a fun way to improve together while making great memories.

Also great to hear that you're enjoying the new accessories. We put a lot of thought into those upgrades to make practice even more versatile.

We truly appreciate your support and wish your family many more made putts and exciting competitions ahead! ⛳️

Quality Putting Mat

I have been using the Chiputt mat for a little while. The quality of the mat is fantastic. The speed of the mat was a little slow at first, but once I got used to it it is fine. ( I believe the speed is around 10 on the stimp which, is what the US Open greens at Shinnecock are running.) The ball rolls true. CS has been very helpful. I would definitely purchase again.

Thank you for the awesome review mate! Glad to hear you're enjoying the quality and true roll of the mat.

The Chiputt Mat rolls at around a 10 on the Stimpmeter, which is right in the range many golfers will encounter on greens they actually play on. It's definitely slower than many putting mats that run at lightning-fast 11+ stimp, so a short adjustment period is completely normal. Once dialed in, you'll find the speed and roll are designed to deliver a more realistic on-course putting experience!

We truly appreciate your support and your kind words about our customer service. Enjoy the practice, and thanks for being part of the Chiputt family! ⛳️

Better than I expected

I was torn between the PrimePutt and the Chiputt mat but based on the price and return policy I chose to give the Chiputt mat a try. It’s even better than I hoped and I believe the quality is equal to the PrimePutt mat. I was also excited to see that a few upgrades were shipped with the mat that are not yet listed on the website like holes and extra cups in the chipping mat so it’s usable in both directions. The mat plays slower in the opposite direction so if you play slower greens it’s perfect. It’s the closest to an actual putting green that I have ever experienced. Also included now are ball stops for the sides and a grip tape strip to add to the bottom of the wooden stop to keep it from moving. Set up was easy and it laid flat right out of the box. A quick sweep with a stiff broom to get the grain in the right direction and it was ready to go. I will be sharing my experience with my entire golf group. Thanks!!!!

Thank you so much for the incredible review Jason!

We're honored that you gave Chiputt a chance, after considering other options. Hearing that the mat exceeded your expectations and delivered the quality and realism you were looking for means a lot to us! We're constantly refining our product based on customer feedback, so it's great to hear you like the upgrades!

Appreciate you for sharing your experience with your golf group. Word-of-mouth recommendations from golfers mean everything to a young brand like Chiputt.

Enjoy the practice, keep rolling them pure, and thank you again for being part of the Chiputt family! ⛳️

Exceptional quality and amazing customer service!!

Just received my new mat and love this thing!! The upgraded options with the extra holes, and white bumper make it not only look amazing but functionally, the ball rolls true and the greens feel very realistic. Customer service was top notch as well. 10/0 would definitely recommend!!

Thank you so much for the fantastic review Andrew!

We're thrilled to hear you're loving the mat and the upgraded features. We put a lot of thought into the additions, so it's great to hear they're enhancing both the look and the functionality of your setup.

Most importantly, we're glad the ball is rolling true and the surface is delivering the realistic green speeds and feel we worked so hard to achieve!

And thank you for the kind words about our customer service as well. We genuinely care about every customer and every order, so feedback like this means a lot.

Enjoy the new setup, keep rolling them pure, and thanks again for the support and recommendation! ⛳️🙏

Not a cheap alternative to the "premium" mat.

I had an excellent experience with Chiputt. The CEO helped me out a ton, communicated clearly, and made the entire process easy and enjoyable.

Before ordering, I was worried I might be compromising on quality, but what I received was exactly what I was looking for. The practice quality is outstanding, and the overall aesthetic is clean enough to fit in an office or home setting without looking tacky.

The green is heavy, thick, and sturdy, just like the more expensive “premium” options I was comparing it to. There is no cheap feeling to any part of it. The roll is true and consistent, and based on my experience, it feels like it plays around a 10 on the stimpmeter.

It’s also clear that Chiputt has made meaningful improvements from previous versions. The distance markers, wooden backstop, seamless connection between the chipping strip and the main green, cups, and heavy speed ramp all add to the overall quality. Nothing feels like an afterthought, and nothing looks or feels cheap.

I spent a lot of time deciding between Chiputt and a couple of other similar options. In the end, I saved money by not paying for the more expensive “premium” brand, and after seeing that option in person, I can confidently say there is no trade-off in quality.

I’m leaving this review because the communication was excellent, but more importantly, because I know how hard this decision can be. I was in the “buy once, cry once” mindset, but Chiputt gave me the quality I wanted without having to overpay. I’m very happy with the purchase and would absolutely recommend it.

I am currently going through a remodel and waivered on the size of the surface options. Jason changed my order after it had already been processed and even went through the details of all of the improved specs of the new mats. Great customer service and feedback. I'm sold.

Wow, thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and detailed review Mike!

Reading reviews like this makes all the late nights, product revisions, and obsessive attention to detail worthwhile. What stood out most to me is that you were exactly the type of golfer we built Chiputt for — someone who did the research, compared all the options, and wanted to make a true 'buy once, cry once' purchase.

From the beginning, our goal was never to create a cheap alternative. It was to build a premium practice experience that could stand on its own merits, both in performance and aesthetics, without golfers feeling like they had to overpay for a brand name. Hearing that you found no trade-off in quality compared to the options you were considering means a lot.

I'm also glad the improvements didn't go unnoticed. Every update, from the cups to the distance markers, backstop, and seamless chipping integration, came directly from listening to customer feedback and continuously refining the product over the last couple of years.

Thank you as well for your patience while we worked through the size change and inventory situation. I'm thrilled we landed on the right setup for your remodel, and even more excited that it's living up to expectations!

Enjoy the setup, keep rolling them pure, and thank you again for trusting Chiputt. Reviews like yours help other golfers make a confident decision, and I truly appreciate the support! ⛳️🙏

Amazing Putting Mat

I researched putting mats for several months before making a decision. One day l clicked on a link that took me to the Chiputt mat. It had a high rating. I did in-depth research and the rest is history. During my research I went to the Chiputt website and submitted a few questions. I was expecting to receive an e-mail response. But to my utter surprise, I received a phone call response from Jason, the founder of the company. The information he shared was helpful. I like his philosophy in developing the Chiputt mat. Based on my research and the conversation with Jason, I chose the Chiputt mat. Although there was another mat I had my eye on, I couldn’t bring myself to pay that price. Thankfully, I came across the Chiputt mat. It cost less and includes LOTS of accessories. When I unrolled the mat I was amazed at the texture as well as the quality of the backing. It laid flat except at the ends. I reverse rolled it for a few seconds, walked along the edges and it flattened out.

Flo! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience!

It means a lot to hear that after months of research and comparing options, you chose Chiputt. We know there are plenty of putting mats out there, and we never take that trust for granted.

Appreciate your kind words about our conversation. One of the reasons I started Chiputt was because I felt golfers deserved a practice solution that delivered premium performance without the premium-brand price tag. Hearing that our philosophy, product quality, and value resonated with you is incredibly rewarding!

Glad to hear the mat lived up to expectations once it arrived. The realistic turf texture, heavy-duty backing, and ability to lay flat quickly are all things we've spent years refining based on customer feedback.

Thank you again for your support and for giving Chiputt a chance. Reviews like yours help other golfers who are going through the same research process and wondering which mat is right for them.

Enjoy the practice, keep rolling them pure, and welcome to the Chiputt family! ⛳️

Really good

Rolls true.

Keith, thank you for the review!

It looks like your cat has already claimed the Chiputt Mat as their favorite spot in the house 😄

Thanks again for the support, and please let your feline golf coach know they're always welcome on Team Chiputt! 😂

Quality Product

A top quality product. Hours of putting practice without having to leave the house.

Greg, thank you so much for the review! Your Chiputt setup looks amazing and that 12-footer was absolutely pure Nothing better than seeing Chiputt being put to good use!

We're thrilled you're enjoying the quality and getting plenty of practice in without leaving the house. Thanks again for the support, and keep rolling them pure! ⛳️

Awesome Mat!

The Mat is freaking awesome! Love this thing! Feels really good and rolls very well. Laid flat as I unwrapped it and considering it's my first Chiputt Mat. I like the white boundary sticks that you can attach to the mat, those are very cool. Also a hug fan of being able to swap out the different style holes. Very quality product! Thank you again!

Thank you so much for the awesome review Mark! Love the energy!

We're thrilled to hear the mat laid flat right away and that you're enjoying the feel and true roll. That realistic performance is exactly what we designed Chiputt for.

And glad you like the functionalities and versatility that Chiputt offers! Those details are meant to make practice more fun, versatile, and meaningful instead of just rolling putts mindlessly or ineffectively.

Really appreciate you giving Chiputt a shot - welcome to the family, and keep draining them! ⛳️

Fantastic product

So good. Packaged well, premium feel. Unpacks and rolls flat right away. This is not a light, cheap piece of turf, the product has serious heft! Rolls so so well and fits the landing of my house perfectly. Only problem I have now is convincing my wife to let me leave it out all the time :) :) thanks chipputt!

Love this Stuart, thank you so much!

'Serious heft' is exactly what we were going for. We never wanted Chiputt to feel like just another light carpet strip. It's built to feel solid, premium, and built to last. So hearing that came through right out of the box means a lot.

Now the real challenge… convincing your wife it's interior decor 😄 Appreciate the support, hope it earns a permanent spot in the house! ⛳️

Great Practice Aid - Living room ready!

The process of ordering and then timely shipment and even more importantly the communication that was provided, included some upgrades (guard rails) being included was great! I had a smaller putting mat in my living room, and measured this one to fit perfectly 3 x 11 and also the chipping mat. I also made one adjustment and have already heard back on some new cup development they are working on, which will be great to see, as you can see I had the original metal cups, which I spray painted with White Metal paint to further highlight the holes. The mat was unraveled and I reverse rolled the ends slightly for 5-10 mins and let sit overnight and all is really good. Added bonus - my wife embraced the new mat and my cats enjoy sitting on it, when I’m not practicing. Haha

Jeff, this is such a great review, thank you!

Love that the 3x11 fit your living room perfectly! Appreciate you sharing your setup process too. Due to logistics, sometimes a little break-in is needed. A quick reverse roll and letting it settle overnight is the right move and you will be rolling putts pure in no time!

And honestly, if the wife approves and the cats have claimed it, we know we've done something right

Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback. Hope you, wife, cats, and the whole family continue to enjoy the mat together. That's what it's all about - bringing a little more golf (and fun) home! ⛳️

Quality!

Received it about a week ago. Have to say the customer service has been exemplary. This is built solid with quality materials and rolls way better than those Amazon mats. Very happy with the purchase!!

Nikolas, thank you so much for the kind words!

'Nothing flimsy here' - that's exactly what we love to hear! From day one, our goal has been to build something solid, durable, and thoughtfully designed, so knowing you could feel the quality right out of the box means a lot.

Really glad the roll is living up to expectations (not surprised tho 😉) and that everything went smoothly with your purchase.

Appreciate the support, keep rolling them pure! ⛳️

It's incredibly simple—no connectors or tools are needed! The Chiputt Mats are precision-cut to be placed flush against each other. Just lay the Chiputt Extender next to your main mat, and the high-density backing ensures it stays perfectly in place for a continuous, seamless surface.
Yes, absolutely. The seam is designed to be virtually undetectable. Thanks to the Chiputt Mat's thickness and precision-cut edges, the ball rolls perfectly smoothly over the connection point without any deviation or bumps, ensuring a true and consistent practice experience.
Yes. You can add multiple Chiputt Extenders to create a putting surface of any length you desire. Simply place them end-to-end to build a 20, 30, or even 40-foot putting green. The seamless connection remains consistent no matter how many you add.
Yes. The Chiputt Extender is manufactured from the exact same tour-grade, waterproof and durable material as our main Chiputt putting mat, including the same upgraded high-grip backing. That guarantees a consistent feel, performance and color across your entire extended putting surface — and because both pieces grip the floor equally, the seam stays put.
Yes. Extenders ship with the same upgraded backing as the Chiputt Mat — denser, with a smooth matte finish and stronger grip. Because both pieces grip the floor equally, the join between them stays flush and doesn't creep apart while you practice.
The Chiputt Extender is the perfect companion for the PaceMaster Ramp. It allows you to place the PaceMaster Ramp further down the mat, giving you the necessary distance to practice and master pace control for challenging long-range putts that aren't possible on a standard-length mat.
The Chiputt Extender, just like the Chiputt Mat, rolls at 10 stimp speed - tested on the USGA Stimpmeter to match country club green conditions. Our tour-grade synthetic turf delivers the same true roll you'll experience on the course, with realistic hole cups and precision distance markers. This authentic feel means your practice directly translates to better performance when it matters.
Yes! The Chiputt Extender features chippable surfaces engineered to withstand chipping practice. Connecting one or more Chiputt Extenders with the main putting mat and the complimentary chipping mat, your Chiputt setup gives you complete short game versatility that no single-mat competitor can match.
Setup is quick and easy, taking less than 2 minutes. Simply unroll the mat, connect it to Chiputt putting mat or the complimentary chipping mat, and you’re ready to go.
While some mats may arrive with minor curls or bumps due to logistics and storage, these are easy to smooth out. For curled edges or ends, just reverse-roll for 5 seconds and step on them briefly; for minor bumps, place 10–15 lbs (4–7 kg) of weight (like books) on the area for 5–10 minutes.
Once broken in, your Chiputt Extender will stay flat permanently. We’ve tested nearly all major putting mats out there—many have permanent creases or never lay flat. But Chiputt’s construction is designed to flatten out fully and stay that way, making setup a breeze.

Yes. Like the Chiputt Mat, the Extender is cut to size with unstitched edges — that's what lets it sit flush against your main mat with no seam ridge. You'll see the most in the first week or two, from loose fiber left by the cutting process, and it drops off sharply after that. A very tiny amount can still come away now and then as the mat is moved and walked on. That's normal for cut-pile turf and it doesn't affect the roll or the lifespan.
Yes, the Chiputt Extender is fully waterproof and designed for indoor and outdoor use. The premium synthetic turf and high-grip EVA foam backing withstand all weather conditions while maintaining consistent performance. You can practice in your living room, garage, backyard, or any flat surface.
All Chiputt products use non-toxic, premium synthetic materials that are completely safe for families, children, and pets. The tour-grade synthetic turf and EVA foam backing are designed for 10+ year durability while maintaining safety as our top priority.
We offer a 60-day return policy for all purchases. We're confident you'll love our products, but if you're not satisfied for any reason, you can return it within 60 days in original condition. We provide global free shipping, with all taxes and duties covered - no surprise fees at checkout. Checkout our shipping and return policy for more info.
The Extender is designed as a companion to the main Chiputt Mat. It does NOT include accessories like hole cups, backstop, side rails, the dual-hole chipping mat, or PaceMaster Ramp - those come with the main mat. Most customers purchase the main mat first and add the Extender when they want more distance.
With one 11ft Extender added to an 11ft mat, you get 21.5ft of effective putting distance. Add the chipping mat (2.5ft) and you reach 24ft. With two Extenders, you can reach 32ft - the ideal lag putt distance recommended by GOLF Top 100 Teacher Jim Murphy.
Yes. Extenders are available in both 1.5ft and 3ft widths to match your main mat. Make sure to select the same width as your Chiputt Mat for a seamless connection.
No. The Extender includes distance markers, a mat strap, and an accessory pouch. Hole cups, backstop, side rails, PaceMaster Ramp, and the dual-hole chipping mat are included with the main Chiputt Mat purchase.
